Route Information
The race starts in the village of Calver and climbs quickly onto the range of limestone terrain around Calver Peak. Marshals will be posted around the course; however runners are required to be familiar with the route illustrated below. There is one main road to cross; once as the race leaves the village and again as the race returns. The crossing will be marshaled, however runners are asked to exercise extreme caution. The route uses a variety of tracks and paths over a landscape containing active mine workings. Please do not cross walls or fences and runners are asked to be aware of warning signs relating to workings, plant or machinery. Please exercise caution if livestock is encountered on the route- nb; the route crosses land currently grazed by Highland Cattle. Runners will need to negotiate a number of gates/ stiles during the race. The route may be suitable for novices however some fell running experience is recommended.
