Calver PEAK 20

Competitors

Competitors must take note of the following information:
Registration will take place in the cricket pavilion near the Derwentwater Arms and the race has a limit of 300 runners. Limited Toilet facilities are available in the Derwentwater Arms: by special permission (please do not walk mud etc. into the bar!)
Runners must arrive at the start line by 7.25 to allow time for a briefing, a kit check and any additional headcount - as appropriate.
The Calver Peak Fell run is organised under FRA rules; a set of rules are displayed at the race start.
If for any reason you have to retire after you have registered you MUST notify the organisers at the finish. The race is organised on the premise that all competitors have the necessary skills to cope with the navigational problems which may occur – whatever the weather.
It is expected that competitors will wear/ carry appropriate clothing suitable for the conditions at the time of the race - as required by 2016 FRA regulations.
A local weather forecast will be posted at the race start.
A marshal will sweep the route behind the last competitor and the checkpoints will close as the sweeper passes.
Drinks will be provided at the start and the finish but will not be available on the route.
Prizes are available for the first senior male and senior female and in the following categories: first vets (40+) , first vets (50+) , first vets (60+) and first locals (i.e. residents of Calver, Curbar and Froggatt). NB: normally one prize per competitor (with the exception of the local prize).
Surplus monies raised by the race will be used to support local events and activities.
